My family sailed on this ship from Naples, arriving Sydney 17th March 1950 then moved onto migrant camps. They had been made to work in slave labour camps in Germany during the war. Later in Displaced persons camp of UZ zone in Heilbronn, Germany. Would like to hear from anyone that was aboard the Muir and can recount the life on board. My brother was only 5 years old at the time and recalls asking the Captain if he could wear his cap. Also a young girl was lost overboard and never found.
