My grandparents travelled on the Skaugum leaving Bremerhaven in November 1950 for Australia. They arrived in Victoria late 1950. I'm trying to find out the exact details of this voyage - passenger lists/dates/etc - so we can piece together our family history.

Dear Kim - if you go to http://people.aapt.net.au/~mandula/MIG_EXP.HTML there is an account of a migrant's experience on the Anna Salen which left Bremerhafen, Germany on 27th November. It does not provide the exact details of what you are looking for, but it is a first-person account of the Displaced Persons experience.
